The Rural Access Integration Network bridges the gap in rural mental health by embedding psychiatric care and community outreach where it matters most — your community.

Our Mission
RAIN uses a holistic, integrated, trauma-informed model to support the whole person — and the major contributors to mental health, including limited resources, social determinants, and systemic barriers. We remove ED and PCP burden by meeting patients where they already receive care.
Four Pillars
Every program, partnership, and patient encounter is grounded in these four commitments.
Community education, early-risk screenings, and universal SDOH screening with follow-through resources at the point of identification.
Embedded psychiatric providers alongside PCPs, internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, and OB-GYN partners — care where patients already are.
Peer support services, community engagement, and trauma-informed care that honors lived experience and removes barriers to wellness.
A holistic, integrated model that supports the whole person — addressing limited resources, social determinants, and structural barriers together.

A Message from Our Founder
For too long, ZIP code has decided who gets quality mental health care and who is left waiting in an ED, a PCP's office, or in silence. RAIN exists to change that. We are embedding psychiatric expertise inside the clinics, schools, and community spaces our neighbors already trust — building a model where prevention, partnership, and lived experience carry equal weight with medicine. This is what rural health transformation looks like: not a visiting program, but a permanent promise. We are restoring balance, one mind — and one community — at a time.
